Priscilla Ward is a writer, digital content producer, and social strategist. She graduated from Temple University with a B.A in Journalism and Theater. Philadelphia educated her, but New York is where her career took flight.
Priscilla has worked for publications like ESSENCE, BET, and Health Magazine, in addition to freelancing for various national outlets, profiling artists, and reviewing music (she has spent far too much time dissecting Kendrick Lamar verses). During her time living in New York, she founded the multi-platform brand BLCKNLIT. What began as a series of events in NYC, transformed into so much more after Priscilla returned to her native Washington, D.C.
She curates monthly events and experiences, in addition to co-hosting the weekly BLCKNLIT podcast on Full Service Radio, which highlights the stories of black creatives, entrepreneurs, and tastemakers who are taking risks to create the life that they want for themselves.
Her words can be found in Kinfolk, Salon, OkayPlayer, Shondaland, Health, ESSENCE, and The Washington Post. She also covers philanthropy initiatives at Under Armour and has written branded content for Bevel, the men’s shaving company.
She is available for freelance and full-time writing, branded content, and digital content production opportunities.
